This is a roll of honour database containing the names of those from the Island of Ireland who returned home either to the Island of Ireland or elsewhere at the end of the war.

This list contains over 43, 419 veterans names. It may take sometime to download so some patience is required.   If you experience IT issues, please contact your provider. The project does not provide further information nor deal with queries on individual entries.   

The database is being donated to the National Library of Ireland in June 2026.  It will be available online.  This  means this website will be taken down and closed. No new names will be added after June 2026.

The information on www.worldwar1veterans.com which is a voluntary project is made available to acknowledge and gather the names of the Island of Ireland's world war 1 veterans.  It should not be used for any other purpose especially for profit including profit making genealogy research and any academic research  without express permission of the administrator.
